0800-GRL-DRMZ brought mainstream pop trash and celebrity culture into the Hannah Maclure Centre’s by transforming it into a performance studio space. 0800-GIRL-DRMZ produced, directed and starred in their own TV programme along with creating merchandise, setting up a pop up shop and creating advertisements and branding for their own products. The artists Catrin and Sarah Messenger became celebrity products in the process.
The Agency is a paradigm of the cultural economy, an articulation of the values of an artist-run space through the commodification of one within another. Searching for a sense of value, Dundee-based GENERATORprojects will be packaged and sold to a consuming public, lead by Head of Sales and invited artist Catrin Jeans.

An artwork created for Glasgow International and Market Gallery’s Art Lending Library, where we provided the materials needed to get people to train as a performance footballer, with the intention to explore an alternative Team GB, which would be proposed as a national team to compete in the upcoming Olympic Games, or ‘London 2012’?
Twenty-Four Hour Football (in collaboration with Fraser MacDonald)
A performance within GENERATORprojects gallery in Dundee, designed to encourage viewers to participate as artist’s in a performance through an internationally familiar medium; a game of football.
The football match acted as a catalyst to examine participation in an interactive artwork within the context of a contemporary gallery. The smaller gallery was transformed into a changing room, with the option of either red or blue bibs given to participants, who then substituted themselves into their chosen team.
Declare Your Love
An open forum for people to come and declare their love to the artist in the final hours of this world, at Now Now’s Armageddon-a-hard-on-just-thinking-about-it Apocalyptic party (part of Glasgow International)

Join Catrin for an aerobic conditioning work-out, the perfect way to tone your muscles and sculpt the body you aspire to.
Sculpt it was part of the National Galleries ‘Performing Sculpture’ event.
Crawl Inclusive was a pub-crawl led by Catrin, in character as a ’Club18-30esque’ holiday rep. It hosted performances, installations and events from over 40 artists, in a 1-mile journey in Dundee.

Catrin Jeans is interested in being a house-hold brand name. Her work and image manifests itself in performances and events, where she adopts roles and guises as a means of communicating tabloid and pop culture.
Catrin also works collaboratively with Fraser MacDonald and as part of the artist group Now Now.
